NESTLE CONTROVERSY

NESTLE: 

                         It is a swiss multi national food and beverages company head quartered in Vevey, Switzerland.

Products include baby food, bottled water, breakfast cereals, coffee and tea, dairy products, ice cream, frozen food, pet foods, and snacks.

AUSTRALIAN HEALTH STAR RATING:  

                The Australian health star rating is a nutrient based Australian company. This companies work is to address the healthiness of food on the rating of 0 - 5 stars based on the quality of the food.

NESTLE UNDER CONTROVERSY:

                As we know 5 to 6 years back Nestle's instant 2 minutes maggie goes under the controversy. in India its get banned because of they using more chemicals for producing instant maggie noodles.



But the Nestle company bounce back. they reduce the usage of chemicals for producing maggie as per the Government norms. after that they capture the huge market in India.

Nestle's motto is 'Good Food Good Life' but recently news of content of the company's product have cast a shadow of doubt on it. The companies recently leaked internal document says that more than 60 per of products is unhealthy, and don't meet the required health standards.

According to the Financial Times, the leaked report was an internal presentation circulated among the company's top executive in early 2021. the document added that only 37 percent of Nestle's food product could achieve a rating above 3.5 under Australia's health star rating system.

NESTLE'S STATEMENT:

Nestle says that they will updating health strategy after report claims 60% of its food portfolio is un healthy.
they scrambles to do some damage control after this controversy.
